1986 El Camino Conquista
We bought this very nice 1986 El Camino Conquista from Chris from Escondido, California. Chris his dad owned the car for over 20 years. He lived in Redding, California and drove a lot of dust roads out in the country. This is why the car has dust on the bottom. Unfortunately the old man passed away last year and so Chris inherited the El Camino from his dad.
The El Camino has the orignal 305V8 motor and 200R4 transmission. It runs and drives like a dream!! Of course there is power steering and power disc brakes for smooth handling and stopping power.
The interior holds all the luxery. Power windows, power door locks, cruise control and air conditioning(not working). All you need for a nice and relaxing journey. The drivers seat has a little damage on the left side but the rest of the left and right seat is nice.
The paint and the chrome are in good shape. The bumpers are free of dents and still shine very well. It holds the 2 tone paint like most of the Conquista editions. It looks like the car has most of its original paint. We polished the paint and we were surprised with the nice shine 😉
There is NO rust on this car. No rust bubbles in the paint! Of course there is surface rust on the bottom and frame but this El Camino needs NO welding. There is dust but no rust!!
The dash holds a speedometer, tachometer and 4 small gauges for operation information. All Gauges seem to work fine. Tilt steering wheel to adjust to your needs. New door rubbers will be installed just like a new dash. Both power windows work fine and even the cruise control works. Door panels are in good shape and so is the headliner. The steering wheel is covered with a leather wrap that could be replaced for a better look.
Original 15 inch wheels and white letter tires. Looks really good!
The bed has a rubber mat to protect the surface from scratches.
Please note you are looking at a 48 year old Classic car. This is not a brand new or completely restored 1000 point show car. It is very nice but there will always be that is not perfect or something to improve or renew.
This El Camino comes with the California title and import documents for EU.
