1967 Camaro SS 396 Big Block 4 speed

The 1967 Camaro is the first in a row of 3 most popular Camaros ever. The 1st gen Camaro is currently the most sought after and coveted muscle car.

This 1967 Camaro with Super Sport (SS) badges has a fast and nice running 396 V8 big Block (non matching) from the year 1967. The books tell that the engine has a Horsepower: 375 at 5600RPM. Torque : 415 at 3600RPM. The engine is equipped with an Edelbrock intake manifold, Edelbrock carburator and Hooker ceramic coated headers. The MSD electronic ignition, high solid spark plug cables and an MSD blaster coil ensure optimal reliability. The 6.6 liter engine sounds powerful due to the dual 2 ½ inch Flowmaster exhaust. Wonderful that sound of a big Block !!. To give the sporty driving even more character, the 396 V8 is coupled with a Muncie close ratio 4 speed gearbox that is operated by a Hurst shifter. This shifts smoothly and ensures a very acceptable speed during the highway cruising. We drove 7 kilometer on 1 liter during our 300km test drive. Pretty neat for a big block !!!

To make things tidy under the hood, a chrome-plated air filter cover and chrome valve covers have been mounted. The inner fenders, the firewall, the sub frame, the radiator support, everything is neatly painted in satin black. Looks very good under the hood !!!

The paint is the original color “nantucket blue”. The paint is really nice and the panels are straight and sleek. The chrome on the bumpers and trim is in excellent condition. The car has no rust and the bottom floor is like new. The previous owner spent € 1,350 on a complete treatment with Dinitrol.

The interior is in very good condition, just like the exterior. The bucket seats, carpet, headliner, dash pad, package tray and door panels are in excellent condition. The dashboard is equipped with a rev counter and in the center console are 4 extra meters, just like in the RS version. Even the clock still works.

The high performance 12 bolt rear axle was overhauled 500km ago and fitted with an Auburn posi traction with 3.08 gears, Richmond bearings and Yukon axles. The wheels in the picture are from the Weld brand but the car will soon be equipped with 15 inch Vision wheels with BF Goodrich tires with white lettering.

The car drives great and the power steering and power brakes with disc brakes make it a nice reliable car.

This Camaro comes with Dutch registration for an easy registration in  any European country. We can help with TÜV and Belgian homologation.
